Ellie graduated from Gateway School of Recording, Kingston University with a Diploma in Recording, Music Technology and Business Studies in 1997. Joining Sony/ATV Music Publishing a year later as their Junior Copyright Assistant, the years that followed were spent predominantly in Copyright and Licensing for a variety of both major and independent music companies, BMG Music Publishing, MCS Music, BMG Chrysalis and the BBC. With a steady career progression culminating in setting up and running global administration departments, Ellie was approached by Ronnie Lane’s Estate to oversee the Slim Chance Catalogue. This was the ideal opportunity to set up her own company. Ellie has also spent time managing a recording studio and engineering small live gigs.
Being a proactive rather than reactive publisher is very important to Ellie and drawing on her experiences with both Independent and Major publishers has enabled her to establish a company that is small but Perfectly Formed.
